I'm shocked, because after searching the Internet for information about the Puma, I found many photographs like these below.
Once again, I feel shame to be a part of a "human" race that has people who live in the total brutality.

Legal hunt?? / Chasse légale??

Trying to justify something unjustifiable!!. This only demonstrates the incapacity to learn of some men that still don't understand the natural world that surrounds them.
Is shameful.

Justifiant l'injustifiable!!.
Quelle honte.

Puma's warning Sign, ...... in order to imitate!

Good news!! - Large distribution for the specie

Pumas are the most widely distributed of all the New World cats. They also have the most variant range, occuring from the Canadian Yukon to the southernmost tip of South America, which covers 110 degrees latitude. They are found at all elevations, from sea level to 14,000 feet. The terrain they inhabit is various as well, and can be forests, grasslands, mountains, and swamplands, although in South America, they tend to avoid areas such as swamplands and lowland where jaguars occur.

Bonnes nouvelles!!

Puma in a stamp

"Ghost walker, swamp devil, night crier, catamount: people have given the North American cougar many colourful names, reflecting our fascination with these sleek and powerful cats. And while the spectacular Amur leopard isn't nearly as well known to Canadians as the cougar, the two great felines make perfect companions in a new commemorative stamp issue created jointly by Canada and China."

"With the natural grace and beauty of these great cats so vividly depicted by the artists, and because of the uniqueness of this joint issue, there's no doubt that the Puma concolor and Panthera pardus orientalis stamps will be prized by collectors in both countries."

Dangerous??? / Dangereux???

Many histories tell that the Puma is a very dangerous animal for man security. Many of them speak of sudden attacks to farmers and explorers in order to devour them with no mercy.
But this is very far from the true behavior of the Puma. The Puma fears the human being, and generally only attacks when it is persecuted and cornered.
The only truth is that the man has invaded the territories of this specie, and therefore has put in danger its existence in this planet.

Here some beautiful photos of the Puma.

This animal represents for me, greatness and tranquillity at the same time.
More efforts would have to be developed to preserve this unique feline of the Americas.
